Terms of Use

Last updated: March 2026

Hey, welcome to TasteBook πŸ‘‹ We've tried to keep these terms as clear and human as possible. The short version: be respectful, use the platform as intended, and we'll take great care of your data.

1. Who we are

TasteBook is a platform built for tasting professionals β€” sommeliers, importers, buyers, and anyone who runs structured tasting sessions. We help you organize sessions, collect guest notes, and send beautiful summaries.

2. Your account

When you sign up, please use real information β€” your name, a valid email, and a password you haven't used everywhere else. You're responsible for keeping your login details safe. If something looks off with your account, let us know right away.

You need to be at least 18 years old to use TasteBook.

3. What you can (and can't) do

TasteBook is here to help you run better tastings β€” not for anything harmful. Please don't:

  • Use the platform for anything illegal or harmful
  • Try to access parts of the system you're not supposed to
  • Upload viruses or anything that could damage the service
  • Resell or white-label TasteBook without our permission

4. Your data belongs to you

Everything you create on TasteBook β€” your sessions, your notes, your catalog β€” is yours. We only use your data to run the service. We never sell it, share it with advertisers, or do anything shady with it.

You can export your data at any time, and if you ever want to leave, we'll make that easy.

5. Plans & billing

Our paid plans (Reserve and Grand Cru) are billed monthly through Paddle, our payment partner. You can cancel anytime β€” your plan stays active until the end of the billing period. We don't offer partial-month refunds, but if something went wrong, reach out and we'll do our best to make it right.

6. Uptime & reliability

We work hard to keep TasteBook fast and available, but we can't promise 100% uptime. Occasionally we need to do maintenance or fix things. We'll try to give you a heads-up when we can.

7. If things go wrong

TasteBook is provided as-is. We're not liable for things outside our control. That said, we genuinely care about your experience β€” if something breaks, tell us and we'll fix it.

8. Changes to these terms

If we update these terms in a meaningful way, we'll let you know by email before the changes take effect. Continuing to use TasteBook after that means you're good with the new terms.

9. Cookies

We use a small number of cookies to keep TasteBook working properly. Here's what they do:

  • Session cookie β€” keeps you logged in while you're using the app. It expires when you close the browser or sign out.
  • Authentication token β€” a secure JWT stored in your browser so we know it's you between visits. No personal data is readable inside it.
  • Payment cookies β€” set by Paddle when you go through checkout. We don't control these, but they're strictly for processing your payment.

We don't use tracking cookies, advertising cookies, or third-party analytics. That's it.
